Ripple Inc. is welcoming into the fold the former Amazon Executive, Mr. Devraj Varadhan as the companies New Senior Vice President of Engineering.
Varadhan brings along a plethora of experience to Ripple.
As the vice president at Amazon’s delivery experience department for the past three years, including leading Amazon’s engineering teams for 15 years, ending his firm’s role in December 2020.
As written in his welcoming note, It is Varadhan belief that technology, when built and scaled right, can have a profoundly positive impact on humanity and improve people’s lives.
He also stated that “technology serves as the backbone for innovative solutions at a global scale”.
Varadhan replaces veteran Ripple employee Christopher Kanaan as the lead in Ripple’s engineering department, and he endeavors to improve the overall
customer experience and provide the “highest standards in an ever-changing world”.
It’s worth noting that Vardham is coming in at a very difficult time for Ripple.
Ripple’s top executives were recently charged by the U.S Securities and Exchanges Commission (SEC), for down-spiraling the price XRP.
However, the company seems to be back on track – awaiting the Feburary pre-trial conference.
The price of XRP skyrocketing by 50% in the past week despite the SEC lawsuit.
