FIJI — Thousands of people have publicly declared their Christian faith following a nationwide evangelistic campaign in Fiji, where the Seventh-day Adventist Church reports more than 4,040 baptisms.

The campaign, known as Fiji for Christ, took place August 16–29, 2026, bringing together churches, evangelists and local communities in an extensive effort to share the Gospel.

Thousands Respond to the Gospel

According to Adventist News Network, the campaign concluded with more than 4,000 people baptized, marking a significant evangelistic milestone for participating churches.

The initiative emphasized biblical teaching, personal commitment to Jesus Christ and the importance of baptism as a public declaration of faith.

Beyond Baptism: Building Disciples

Church leaders recognize that evangelism does not end when someone enters the baptismal waters.

Organizers have outlined plans for continued Bible studies, discipleship and local church involvement to help newly baptized believers grow in their Christian faith.

This follow-up effort will be important in determining the campaign’s lasting impact.

An International Evangelistic Effort

The campaign brought together 135 international and 57 local speakers. Activities included preaching, prayer, family-life presentations, health education and community service.

Although the main campaign ended August 29, evangelistic meetings continue at seven locations across Fiji.

Is Revival Spreading Across the Pacific?

The Fiji campaign adds to reports of expanding evangelistic activity across the Pacific, including 206 baptisms reported in neighboring Kiribati.

While these figures demonstrate substantial participation in organized evangelism, their long-term spiritual impact will become clearer as churches continue discipleship and community outreach.
